We are seeking a dedicated person to lead our kitchen operations in Innisfail.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparing high-quality meals, leading a team, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Your Role

As a Chief Cook you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our residents. Your tasks will include:

- Prepare and cook daily nutritionally balanced meals.
- As required, order main line food commodities and maintain stock reserves and control
- Supervise Client Services Assistants and Volunteers directly associated with the kitchen environment (where applicable)
- Ensure the needs of the residents are met through regular monitoring of catering services
- Prepare menus and involve residents in choice and selection where appropriate
- Monitor and comply with Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental practices

Role Requirements

- Be vaccinated against Influenza & at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine
- Current Police Screening Certificate
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Demonstrated previous cooking experience for large groups would be an advantage
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
