What’s the role?

Embrace the balance between acute care and chronic disease management across all age groups. Collaborating closely with nurses and Aboriginal Health Practitioners, you’ll hold a pivotal role within the team.

During remote rotations, you’ll reside within communities, gaining a profound understanding of remote living and fostering cross-cultural interactions. For those inclined, there’s potential to explore hospital work, especially in areas like obstetrics, emergency, or anaesthesia.

- Qualify for Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) payments, ranging between $25K to $60K, in MM6 and MM7 locations

What do you need to apply?

- Hold current specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Be a Fellow of the RACGP or ACRRM, or possess a minimum of five years’ GP experience
- Demonstrate awareness, sensitivity, and a grasp of contemporary Aboriginal cultural and historical matters
- Experience as a supervisor of GP registrars or additional qualifications are advantageous
- Exhibit appropriate health and fitness levels for remote travel and work
