About the Role

ACFS have over 270+ assets in our QLD fleet ranging from:

Mercedes / Fuso / Mack / SCANIA / UD and various trailer makes and models.

We are currently seeking skilled Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics based out of our Port of Brisbane workshop.

This role will involve inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, performing repairs and preventative maintenance of our extensive fleet. If you are looking for an opportunity that is dynamic and working within a highly skilled team this role is for you to develop your career.

What we offer:

- $50 per hour - average yearly earnings $150,000+
- Full time Position | Monday to Friday 6:00am starts 10 hour day minimum with more overtime available

What you will be doing:

- Conducting regular maintenance checks and servicing. Ensure fleet remains at compliance standards.
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
- Performing repairs on drivelines, steering and suspension systems.
- Keeping detailed job cards of all work performed.




- Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance work complies with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and NHVR regulations.
- Join a large collaborative and driven team. Support Apprentice’s in their journey by providing guidance and support while allowing them to be hands on.

What you'll bring

- Proven experience in a similar role (fleet experience highly regarded)
- Hold a valid qualification for the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles (Certificate III in HV Mechanical Technology)
- A HR, HC and Forklift licence would be advantageous
- Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment
- Previous diagnostic experience
- Be able to maintain a high degree of safety and in-line with HSE policies + procedures
- Be able to maintain quality and urgency in your work
- A comprehensive tool kit
- Work well in a team environment
- Be trustworthy, hard-working and take pride in their work
- Good communication skills
