Role Summary
Join a leading distributor of premium gourmet food products, and you will play a key role in daily warehouse operations at our modern Coburg North facility. You will be responsible for operating High Reach forklifts (primarily Linde and Toyota BT equipment) safely and efficiently across Freezer, Chiller, and Ambient temperature zones.
This is an immediate-start, ongoing role within a collaborative, fast-paced team environment offering competitive pay rates and consistent weekday hours.
Key Responsibilities: Equipment & Forklift Operation
- Safely operate High Reach forklifts (Linde and Toyota BT) up to high-bay racking levels.
- Perform standard counter-balance forklift duties when required.
- Complete daily pre-operational checks on all machinery and report defects immediately.
Pay Rates
Freezer Section: $40.25 / hr
Chiller Section: $37.38 / hr
Ambient Section: $36.25 / hr
Warehousing & Inventory Control
- Execute bulk order picking, putaways, stock consolidation, and replenishment across freezer, chiller, and ambient zones.
- Conduct accurate cycle counts, stocktakes,
and location audits.
- Utilise RF scanners for stock tracking, inventory adjustments, and order verification.
- Perform general warehousing tasks (despatch, receiving, shrink-wrapping, and pallet staging).
Safety & Quality Assurance
- Work comfortably and safely in sub-zero and cold-chain environments, adhering to thermal exposure safety protocols.
Desirable Attributes
- Cold Storage: Prior experience working within cold store, freezer, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) food logistics environments.
- Equipment Knowledge: Direct operational experience with Linde or Toyota BT reach trucks.
