Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Science Tutor, you will:

- Tutor students in one or more NSW Stage 6 Science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics).
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the NSW Stage 6 syllabus.
- Explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Prepare students for assessments, examinations, and the HSC.
- Develop students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Adapt lessons to students' learning needs and academic goals.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate lesson records.
- Collaborate with team members to improve student outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of the NSW Stage 6 Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics syllabus.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience with Year 11 and/or Year 12 students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised, reliable, and professional.




- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Availability on weekday evenings and/or Saturdays.

Preferred Skills

- Band 6 in one or more HSC Science subjects
- Familiarity with all modules within your specialised subject(s)
- Confident in explaining advanced concepts and exam strategies
- Skilled in guiding students through past papers and high-difficulty questions

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week

Experience:

- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
