Position Overview
Starling Services is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join an aged care facility in Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with aged care standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and clinical oversight to residents
- Administer medications and treatments in line with clinical guidelines
- Monitor, assess, and evaluate resident health conditions
- Develop and implement care plans
- Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses and Care Staff
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with aged care standards, policies, and infection control practices
Required Skills Experience
- Proven experience in Aged Care
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Leadership and team coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
Mandatory Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Evidence of vaccinations:
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Pertussis (within last 10 years)
- Current NDIS clearance or Aged Care Check
- Criminal History Check (valid and current)
- Proof of work rights in Australia
- Valid photo identification (certified)
- Recent clinical references (2 referees within last 12 months)
- Evidence of relevant training
Contract Details
- Hours: Up to 80 hours per fortnight
