This position instructs/ coaches swimming activities, programs and water safety across our water school activities and levels

WORK TASKS + RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide exceptional customer service at all times.

- Provide a child secure environment.

- Be professionally presented at all times.

- Teaching/coaching swim techniques , strokes and water safety to students.

- Implementation of water schools core skills and development skills during lessons for each require swim level.

- Check and mark lesson attendance.

- Effective and friendly communication with students , parents and carers.

- Setup with correct equipment in designated teaching/coaching areas.

- Pack up equipment at end of session in a neat and tidy fashion.

- Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the Facilities Emergency Action Plan.

- Comply with facility safety, training, and document control.

- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety, and for the health and safety of others.

- Setting up in a timely manner to start lessons at designated time.

- Maintain industry qualifications, accreditation and professional development courses.

- Proficient computer skills.

INDUSTRY QUALIFICATIONS + CLEARANCES

- WWCC.

- Pool Lifeguard (preferred).

- Swim Teacher/Foundation Coach & extension courses.

- Development Coach.

ONBOARDING AND INHOUSE TRAINING

- Employee Handbook - Employment + General Ops

- Operations Manual (per Centre)

- Employee site induction and training

- Stadium Induction/Training ( if applicable)

REMUNERATION - as per the Fitness Award and dependant on skills, qualifications and experience.

Level 2 - Trainee (Working towards qualification and being supervised but teaching own lessons)

Level 3 - Qualified Swim Instructor (Have received their Statement Of Attainment)

Level 3A - Advanced swim instructor, when a minimum of 3 instructor/coach Statement of Attainment obtained.

Level 4 - Senior Instructor/Coach is 5 years of L+R group experience or 10 years proven industry experience
