Our Cotton Gin receives and processes raw cotton to remove cotton seed and leaf before compressing the clean lint into cotton bales ready for export.

- For part of the year, this role will operate in and help lead seasonal teams to safely run 12-hour shifts (day or night) to meet production targets and budgets.
- For the rest of the year, as part of the permanent ginning team, you will support routine operational servicing and preventative maintenance of cotton ginning equipment, such as cleaning, inspection, and minor upkeep/repair as part of your cotton ginning duties.
- It's important that you are responsible, interested in learning new skills, and you'll need to be mechanically minded and a team player.
- We are prepared to invest in training our team to learn our process.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts is an essential requirement for this role.

If you’re an experienced Cotton Ginner or have experience as an assistant ginner, we’d like to hear from you! Salary is negotiable for experienced personnel.

We’re inviting people from other industries with experience in a production / maintenance workplace to apply. Alternatively, if you're ambitious, hard working and you have mechanical experience we will help train you up to become a Cotton Ginner.

Duties: Duties you will undertake include, but is not limited to:

- Operating cotton gin machinery to process raw cotton




- Monitoring machines and making adjustments during operation
- Checking cotton lint and seed to make sure quality standards are met
- Completing production records, bale counts, and shift paperwork
- Cleaning machinery and work areas
- Helping with routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Following all safety procedures and contributing to a safe work environment
- Leading seasonal workers during the ginning season

Indicative Skill Level Required: Ideally having AQF Certificate II or III, or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Level 4) as a ginner or assistant ginner ( if no relevant qualifications), is preferable.

Pay: $80,000 – $85,000 per year. (Entry level salary indicated, higher salary is on offer for more experienced ginners)
