About BT Plus
BT Plus is a leading tennis and sport development program dedicated to growing participation, building skills, and creating pathways for players of all ages and abilities. We're passionate about making sport accessible, inclusive, and fun — and we're looking for someone who shares that vision.
The Role
We're on the hunt for an energetic and passionate Sports Development Officer to join the BT Plus team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of everything we do — designing and delivering programs that develop sporting skills, drive participation, and make a real difference in the lives of young people and other underrepresented groups in sport.
Whether you're running junior clinics, partnering with local schools, or creating pathways for players with disability, every day will bring a new opportunity to inspire someone through sport.
What You'll Do
- Design, coordinate and deliver sport and skills development programs across a range of age groups and abilities
- Drive participation among young people, schools, and special groups including players with disability and culturally diverse communities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community organisations, clubs and local government
- Monitor and report on program outcomes, participation numbers and impact
- Represent BT Plus at community events, competitions and expos
- Support coaches and volunteers to deliver high-quality sporting experiences
- Ensure all programs meet relevant safety,
safeguarding and compliance standards
Who We're Looking For
You're someone who genuinely loves sport and people in equal measure. You're organised, outgoing, and able to connect with kids, parents, coaches and community partners alike. You thrive working both independently and as part of a team, and you know how to turn a good idea into a excellent program.
You'll bring:
- Experience in sport development, community sport, coaching or a related field
- A genuine passion for working with young people and diverse communities
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to plan, coordinate and deliver programs from start to finish
- Current registration or licensing as required for this role (e.g. Working With Children Check, relevant sport accreditation — details provided on application)
- A valid driver's licence (desirable)
Relevant qualifications in Sport Science, Recreation, Education or a related field are well regarded but not essential — the right attitude and experience matter most.
Why Join BT Plus?
- Be part of a passionate, tight-knit team that genuinely cares about community impact
- Variety in your day — no two days look the same
- Opportunities to grow your career in sport and recreation
- Flexible working arrangements considered
- Access to facilities, training resources and professional development
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
