About the role

The Emergency Department at Campbelltown has moved in to a brand new facility with capacity for 107 beds once fully commissioned. We are currently accredited as a Tier One facility with ACEM. The admission rate is approximately 35% and 28% of our caseload is paediatrics. We have a broad-based, experienced and enthusiastic FACEM team (now numbering over 20 FTE of consultants with additional PEM VMOs on most evenings) providing extended hour’s coverage to ED 7 days per week with excellent opportunities for supervised training in a challenging and busy department. Both DEMTs are now ACEM Examiners and can provide expert preparation for both the Primary and Fellowship Examinations with dedicated programs for both examinations with excellent success rates.

What you'll be doing

This role offers a practical introduction to:

- Public Health Administration
- Medicolegal aspects of Emergency Medicine
- Research
- Education

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Successfully completed written component of Fellowship exam or working towards completion.
- Successful completion of 4.10.
- Demonstrated commitment to and satisfactory progress in the ACEM Training program (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, clinical skills, judgment and expertise. teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Evidence of continued professional development and commitment to self- education, experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff.
- Ability and willingness to work at the facilities within the Network to deliver patient care.
