Disability Support Worker - Start Immediately

4. Have a minimum of 2 years experience in the disabliity sector

About the role:

As part of your role you will be required to actively support individuals with their daily living needs and physical support requirements; tasks that will be expected during your shift will be;

- Meal preparation; Meal support
- Administration of medication
- Attending to personal care needs
- Using a hoist to transfer individuals
- Manual handling tasks
- Use a vehicle wheelchair hoist and restraints for securing wheelchair prior to transporting.
- Transporting individuals in wheelchairs to community activities or medical appointments
- Providing domestic support within the home; vacuuming; mopping; laundry etc
- Complete daily reporting requirements on Eden Ability reporting systems
- Bowel & Catheter care

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Minimum qualification of Certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent.
- Medication administration skill set
- 1-2 years industry experience
- Ability to work shift work, including nights and weekends




- Ability to drive a wheelchair accessible van
- Experience working with people with Mental health disabilities
- Experience in the tasks outlined in the shift tasks
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Nursing or Allied Health Field will be highly regarded.

- NDISWC
- WWCC
- NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
- National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Infection Control Certificate
- Own mobile phone
- Current Australian Driver's License

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
