About the Role

We are seeking a full time Retail Manager to provide professional leadership for the

effective and productive management of restaurant operations. The Retail Manager is

responsible for achieving specific operational performance targets, including reducing

delivery times, increasing local sales, and improving “Voice of Customer” scores, while

managing a diverse team and ensuring full compliance with brand and operational

standards.

The role requires strong organisational capability, leadership skills, and the ability to

manage daily operations within a fast-paced QSR environment.

Salary: AUD $77,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation

Key Responsibilities

Store Management & Coordination

 Directly manage and coordinate a diverse team of approximately 14 staff members,





including Shift Runners, Pizza Makers, and Drivers.

 Use independent judgment and problem-solving on a day-to-day basis regarding

staffing and operational matters.

 Monitor and optimise restaurant “make times” and delivery logistics to meet strict

speed targets.

 Implement strategies to improve “Voice of Customer” feedback and resolve

customer concerns promptly.

 Oversee daily inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering to maintain

freshness and minimise wastage.

 Apply brand criteria and operational procedures to ensure consistent quality in line

with company standards.

Team Leadership & Development

 Undertake screening, assessment, and training for all new staff members to ensure

high performance.

 Provide one-to-one support and mentoring for Shift Runners to ensure they

successfully achieve operational goals.

 Manage staff rosters to balance labour costs with peak-hour demand while

maintaining service quality.

 Supervise and support direct reports comprising 5 Shift Runners, 2 Pizza Makers, and

7 Drivers.

 Promote a positive, productive, and team-oriented workplace culture.

Financial & Compliance





 Monitor daily and weekly sales data to identify opportunities for growth within the

local Forest Lake market.

 Oversee store-level operational costs and labour budgets to support profitability and

operational efficiency.

 Ensure all food safety protocols, temperature logs, and hygiene standards meet both

legislative and brand requirements.

 Provide regular operational reporting to the Director regarding store progress and

performance metrics.

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge & Skills

 At least 12 months of relevant experience in a Retail Management or QSR leadership

role.

 Proven ability to build and maintain a positive and progressive team culture.

 Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage operational bottlenecks

during peak periods.

 Sound verbal communication skills appropriate for consulting with a diverse team of

temporary residents and citizens.

 High level of computer literacy, including POS systems, database environments, and

Microsoft Office applications.

Essential Requirements

 Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
