Job Opportunity
The Berry Patch Preschool and Long Day Care Centre in Rouse Hill is seeking a passionate and dedicated Diploma-trained educator to join our enthusiastic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified educator who is committed to providing high-quality education and care while fostering a protected, engaging, and inclusive environment for young children.

Position Description
This is a full-time or part-time Early Childhood Educator position where you will educate and care for children throughout their early years learning journey. You will work collaboratively with educators, families, and management to create a positive and nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued and supported.

Essential Requirements:

- Availability Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (with flexibility for 4 x 10 hr days and a rostered day off).

- Diploma of Children’s Services.

- A current and valid employee Working with Children Check

- A current and valid National Police check (that has been processed within the last 3 months).

- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates





- A strong commitment to the safety, well-being, and protection of all children

- Experience in planning, programming and completing observations.

- An understanding of contemporary child safe practices.

- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard.

- Knowledge of children’s safety and well-being.

- A strong commitment to providing and upholding a safe environment for children, including an understanding of child protection law, mandatory reporter obligations and processes to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.

- Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to be reliable and punctual.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement and evaluate engaging educational programs

- Support children's learning, wellbeing, and development

- Foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues

- Observe and document children's progress and learning

- Support a collaborative team culture

- Ensure compliance with service policies and regulatory requirements
