We listen to each participant, understand their individual goals and tailor our supports around their choices, needs and lifestyle. We are looking for compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers who share our commitment to providing respectful, person-centred care.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality support to NDIS participants in their homes and within the community.

Depending on the participant’s needs, your duties may include personal care, domestic assistance, community access, transport, meal preparation and support with everyday activities.

You will play an important role in promoting each participant’s independence, dignity, choice and control.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide person-centred support based on participants’ individual support plans and goals.
- Assist participants with personal care, hygiene, dressing and daily living activities.
- Support participants with community access, appointments, shopping and social activities.
- Assist with meal preparation, household cleaning and other domestic tasks.
- Provide safe transport when required.
- Support participants to develop independent living and life skills.
- Follow behaviour support plans, risk assessments and workplace procedures.
- Complete progress notes, incident reports and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Report changes in participants’ health, wellbeing or behaviour to the appropriate team member.




- Maintain qualified boundaries and protect participants’ privacy and confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, coordinators and other support professionals.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification, or relevant practical experience.
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one.
- A current National Police Check.
- A current Working with Children Check where required.
- A valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- The right to work in Australia.
- A reliable smartphone and the ability to use mobile applications for rostering and reporting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays and sleepovers.

Desirable Experience

Experience supporting participants with one or more of the following would be highly regarded:

- Autism spectrum disorder.
- Psychosocial disability.
- Intellectual disability.
- Complex behaviours or positive behaviour support plans.
- Personal care and mobility assistance.
- Supported Independent Living.
- Community participation and capacity building.
- Medication assistance.

- Committed to participant dignity, independence, choice and control.
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider support team.
- Comfortable following support plans, policies and safety procedures.
- Capable of maintaining explicit professional boundaries.
- Willing to learn and participate in ongoing training.

Pay: $35.00 – $70.00 per hour
