Oakleigh Health is a general practice in Oakleigh, VIC, providing high-quality, patient-focused care to our local community. As a newly established clinic, we're building our team and systems from the ground up — which means this role offers real scope to shape how things are done, not just follow an existing playbook. You'll work closely with our doctor, who is also a practice owner, in a supportive, collaborative environment.

About the Role
We're looking for a Registered Nurse to join us in a dual capacity — providing hands-on clinical care to our patients, and taking the lead on setting up the policies, procedures and systems needed for our upcoming RACGP accreditation.

This is a part-time position (approx. 10–20 hours per week), with flexibility to suit your circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical

- Triage, immunisations and injections, wound care, chronic disease management, ECGs and pathology collection
- Assisting doctors with clinical procedures
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Cold chain management and infection control coordination

Accreditation & Practice Systems (a key focus of this role)

- Developing and documenting clinical policies and procedures to meet RACGP accreditation standards
- Setting up systems for infection control, sterilisation, WHS,



records management and vaccine storage compliance
- Working with the Practice Manager/Lead Doctor to prepare the practice for its first RACGP accreditation survey
- Reviewing and improving processes as the practice grows

About You

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with professional indemnity cover
- Preferably at least two year's local nursing experience, ideally in general practice or community-based care but not essentially
- Experience with practice accreditation, policy development or quality systems
- Current working with children check, police check and CPR
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a current initiative
- Great communication skills and a genuine, patient-focused approach
