Our team of Independent Contractors are practical, caring, reliable and people oriented. They have a knack for ensuring our or clients understand the options and feel involved in decision-making.

Role of Home Maintenance – Contractor

We need home maintenance contractors in all listed areas to complete varied tasks to enable our clients to remain independent and safe in their homes.

Tasks may include:

- Light gardening
- Minor home maintenance
- Gutters and window cleaning

What you'll do

As a home maintenance contractor working in the aged care sector, you'll need a combination of basic maintenance skills and personal attributes to perform your job effectively and safely.

Key personal skills that we value include the following:

- Be punctual and complete tasks as promised to build client trust in you and your services.



Advise the scheduling team if you can’t attend.
- Check a written service plan to ensure you deliver pre-agreed services (only)
- Build relationships with our aged care Clients. Engaging and liaising with Clients, their families and carers to improve their health, lifestyle and well-being.
- Demonstrated understanding of the physical, emotional and social needs of older people.
- Excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to build meaningful relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Smart Phone (client notes, receive contract assignments and liaise with scheduling).
- Driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic tools to suit the jobs (ie mower, hand tools, ladder).
- Willingness to attend the orientation session and periodic update sessions.
- Sufficient physical fitness to be able to safely and competently perform basic maintenance or yard work.
- Personal protective equipment to suit the tasks.
- Trades qualifications are highly valued but not a requirement for most tasks and services.

Before you commence:

- First Aid Certificate
- Aged Care or NDIS Police Clearance
- ABN/ACN
- Public Liability Insurance with 10m in coverage
