Location: Cooinda, Learmonth Road, Wendouree

Salary: $55.72 - $58.18 per hour

About the role

As our Complex Care Lead, you’ll provide people and clinical leadership across specialty areas within our Mental Health and Counselling Services team.

Working alongside the Senior Manager and other leads, you’ll help create the conditions for clinicians to do their best work and ensure day-to-day service delivery is safe, responsive and centred on the needs of our clients.

Complexity is part of the job. You’ll help your team navigate complex and enduring mental health presentations, competing demands, referrals and allocations, while balancing the needs of clients, clinicians and the service.

You’ll also bring your clinical expertise to the broader team, sharing your knowledge, developing the capability of others and supporting new team members to build confidence working with complex clients.

Beyond the team,



you’ll contribute to the continued development of evidence-based and innovative community mental health services and build solid relationships with other services and agencies to support seamless care pathways.

About you

You’ll bring significant clinical experience working with people experiencing complex and enduring mental health presentations, along with demonstrated experience leading a team.

Just as importantly, you’ll be someone who:

- Is comfortable having respectful, honest and sometimes difficult conversations.

- Develops others through coaching, mentoring, feedback and sharing expertise.

You’ll understand the mental health service system, referral pathways and collaborative approaches to care, and bring the communication, organisation and clinical judgement needed to lead effectively in a busy community health environment.
