In this Role, You’ll

- Maintain beautiful outdoor spaces through mowing, pruning, planting, and pest control, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and guests.
- Carry out general repairs and upkeep across the site, including accommodation, pool areas, and equipment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Conduct regular WHS checks, follow safety protocols, and ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities and incidents.
- Collaborate with team members, respond to resident queries, and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture.

You’re Likely a Match If You

- Hold a current “C” Class manual driver’s licence. Forklift ticket well regarded but not essential.
- Have hands-on experience in grounds and building maintenance, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
- Are proactive, positive, and committed to delivering high levels of service with clear communication and a team-first attitude.
- Fit, energetic and comfortable with manual tasks like lifting,



bending, and operating tools and equipment.

Flexibility to work a rotating roster over the 7 days including weekends and public holidays

- Previous trade employment or handyman experience well regarded but not essential
- High standard of attention to detail.

Location Details: Derby is a unique and remote location with both challenges and rewards.
Hot Weather: Temperatures can reach up to 40°C, and the Wet Season (December to March) brings humidity and occasional downpours.
Remote Area: Greyhound bus access to Broome, but the town is quiet and small, offering a peaceful atmosphere.
No Beach Access: While Derby has a muddy shoreline, the sea is not ideal for swimming unless you want to swim with the crocodiles.

Accommodation & Meals: We provide discounted accommodation in single, donga-style rooms with shared bathroom facilities, as well as everyday meals. (200 per week covers both food and accommodation)
