Position Title: Nurse: Acute Surgical Ward

Reporting To: Nursing Unit Manager

Terms: Full Time

Remuneration: EBA Wyvern Private Hospital

As a Surgical Ward Nurse, you’ll meet patient care needs with a smile. We are looking for registered
and enrolled nurses, aspiring to further their career, who really care for their patients and love
working in a friendly, supportive team.

We are looking to offer Permanent Full Time or Permanent Part Time contracts to the right

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & SKILLS

- A genuine passion to provide excellent care for both patients and their loved ones

- Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills

- Effective assessment of patients,



by analysing data and identifying their needs

- Ability to develop a holistic nursing care plan to meet individual patient needs

- Confidence in supervising ENs/AINs, depending on position

- Medication administration

- Strong administration skills, ability to accurately record the patient journey in a timely fashion

- Robust attention to detail, ensuring patient safety at all times

- The ability to stay calm under pressure

- A great sense of teamwork and effective communication skills. You're happy to seek guidance

when you need it.

- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement

- A genuine understanding of Wyvern Private Hospital's "Care Without Compromise" philosophy

3. OTHER REQUIREMENTS

- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered

Nurse, Division 1 (AHPRA)

- Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a nurse in a surgical ward

- Valid Working with Children Check

- National Police Check

- 100-point ID check

- Full Australian Working Rights (Sponsorships not available at this stage)

- Proof of vaccinations
