About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader who enjoys responsibility, autonomy, and making a meaningful impact on both patient experience and business success.

This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the practice.
- Welcome and assist patients, visitors, suppliers, and team members.
- Manage all incoming phone calls and patient enquiries.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up confirmations.
- Liaise with dentists and clinical staff regarding patient bookings and treatment requirements.
- Prepare and present treatment plans and estimates to patients.
- Process patient payments, private health insurance claims, and other rebates.




- Maintain accurate patient records and practice management systems.
- Ensure adequate stock levels and coordinate ordering of clinical and office supplies.
- Prepare correspondence and administrative documentation as required.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and support business development activities.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general bookkeeping duties.
- Process staff timesheets and payroll-related administration.
- Review and verify patient fees, ensuring treatments are accurately allocated and billed.
- Oversee staff rostering, leave management, and workflow efficiency.
- Monitor practice performance, reporting, KPIs, and implement process improvements.
- Recruit, train, coach, and mentor team members while fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Ensure exceptional patient care standards are consistently maintained.

About You

You are a confident and approachable leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding patient experiences. You possess excellent organisational skills, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.

Essential Skills & Experience





- Previous experience as a Practice Manager within a dental practice.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong business and commercial acumen with experience achieving KPIs and performance targets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and sound decision-making ability.
- Experience with staff rostering, recruitment, performance management, and training.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Bookkeeping and financial administration experience, including bank reconciliations.
- Exceptional knowledge of Exact Dental and D4W practice management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
