We're looking for a passionate Aboriginal Outreach Worker to join our recent Booraka Danjoo Outreach Program, delivering assertive outreach services across the Fremanlte, Cockburn and Canning and Armadale areas.

Main Duties

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Aboriginal communities, partner organisations and people experiencing homelessness to create meaningful pathways into housing, health and wellbeing.

About Booraka Danjoo

Booraka Danjoo reflects the importance of walking together, building relationships and working in partnership with community. The program recognises the strength, resilience and cultural knowledge of Aboriginal people and seeks to provide support in a way that is respectful, empowering and responsive to individual and community needs.

About the Role

Based in Fremantle, you'll proactively engage with Aboriginal people and others experiencing rough sleeping, building trusting relationships and providing practical support to help people access housing, health services and other essential supports.

You'll work alongside local services, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), government agencies and community partners to deliver culturally safe, trauma informed and person-centred outreach.

No two days are the same, you could be engaging with people sleeping rough, advocating with housing providers, supporting someone to access healthcare or working with local services to coordinate the best outcomes for clients.

About You

We're looking for someone who:





- Has experience working with Aboriginal people, communities or within the community services sector.
- Is passionate about supporting people experiencing homelessness.
- Builds strong, respectful relationships based on trust.
- Can work independently while being part of a supportive outreach team.
- Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Enjoys working in the community and making a genuine difference every day.

Qualifications in Community Services, Social Work or a related field are desirable, however equivalent experience will also be considered.
