We’re looking for an experienced chef/ line cook (minimum 2 years) to join our team. Weekend and public holiday availability is essential. Ideally, you’ll be available both Saturdays and Sundays, with typical shifts from 7:15am to around 3:30pm.
About You:
You’re fast, passionate, and have a great attitude. You have solid experience in short-order café cooking and thrive in a busy, high-energy kitchen. Excellent communication skills are essential — particularly in coordinating with other chefs and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cooking on the line during service
- Preparing food, writing prep lists, and maintaining stock levels
- Organising and cleaning the cool room
- Unpacking and rotating orders
- End-of-day cleaning and basic ordering
- Upholding health, safety, and hygiene standards
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of quality and portion control
- Creative flair for menu planning under Head Chef direction
- Careful, consistent, and attractive plating
- Ability to train and support kitchen hands or other staff
- Competent and safe use of kitchen equipment and appliances
- Clear, confident communication in English
