This is a technical sales role, not a general BD position. You'll engage directly with client-side engineers, assess technical requirements, and represent Sedin's full engineering service capability across the ANZ region — drawing on a genuine mechanical/structural engineering background to have credible, detailed technical conversations, not just commercial ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and develop new client relationships for Sedin's engineering services across the ANZ region, representing Sedin at industry events and client forums Manage and grow existing client accounts across Sedin's full service range — product design, industrial automation, plant and piping engineering, BIM services, structural engineering/detailing, fabrication documentation, CAD modelling, and technical documentation Meet with clients to understand engineering requirements, assess technical fit,
and recommend appropriate Sedin service solutions Own the full sales cycle across all Sedin ANZ engineering service lines — from lead identification through proposal and handover to delivery teams Coordinate with internal Sedin engineering teams across all service lines to ensure proposed solutions align with client technical requirements and delivery capability Interpret client technical documentation and tender specifications to accurately scope engineering service requirements
About You
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor's required, Master's preferred) Demonstrated experience in technical sales or business development within engineering design services Professional Engineer status (MIEAust or equivalent) highly regarded Solid ability to translate technical client requirements into commercial proposals Comfortable working across product design, automation, plant/piping, BIM, and structural service lines Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills
