A and AAR Enterprises Pty Ltd T/A Humble Commercial, based in Truganina built current homes with high standards. They design from the ground up for lasting quality and a comfortable lifestyle. They can customise the design and build according to client’s choice or clients are welcome to choose from their wide range of plans available. Currently they are looking for an in-house Painter to meet their requirements. This is a full-time position for right candidate.

Main Tasks of the employee will be:

- Perform variety of finishing techniques, including Brushing, rolling, stains, varnishes and other finishes.
- Work out the quantity of materials needed for the job by taking surface measurements or by looking at job specifications or drawings.
- Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes.
- Perform scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting.
- Clean walls to ensure proper adherence.
- Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection.
- Preparing surfaces by fixing woodwork, filling or sealing holes, cracks and joins and washing them down to remove dust and grease.
- Removing old paint or paper by sanding or scraping or by using blowtorches or liquid paint removers and, when removing old paper, by using steam strippers.
- Selecting and preparing paints to match colours by the addition of tints.
- Erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas, moves furniture and equipment as necessary.




- Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting.
- When wallpapering, setting out the area according to the pattern match and starting point in the room, cutting the paper to the appropriate length, applying paste to the back of each strip and hanging the paper on the wall, smoothing out any wrinkles or bubbles.
- Applying decorative paint finishes such as stencils, colour glaze, graining, marbling and lettering.
- Apply several coats according to paint directions.
- Tape off areas when needed.
- Apply touch-ups or second coats.
- Remove paint splatters when finished.
- Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns.

To be considered for this role you must have:

- Minimum Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, or overseas equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of prior industry experience;
- You must be Australian Citizen/ Permanent Resident or have proper working rights in Australia

Salary - $80,000 - $85,000 plus super
