Position Overview
We’re hiring a Strategic Growth Manager (NSW) to help drive WT’s growth agenda. Reporting to the Head of Clients & Markets, the Strategic Growth Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the business development strategy for NSW, while staying aligned with national objectives.
The Strategic Growth Manager is responsible for driving both immediate business development support and long-term strategic initiatives that strengthen WT’s market position and achieve sustainable growth. This role requires a combination of business development expertise and strategic planning know-how to enhance the organisation’s competitiveness.
The position holder will be responsible for the gathering and documenting of market intelligence to inform strategic decisions and contribute to the development of business plans. A key focus is taking a leading role in the facilitation of planning meetings with key account teams, sector teams, and regional leadership to support and implement strategic initiatives that align with WT’s national strategy. This position is also responsible for identifying and leveraging new business opportunities, managing and coordinating WT’s participation in industry events, and expanding WT’s market presence through the execution of targeted growth plans.
About You
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in strategic business development ideally in building, construction, infrastructure, engineering or professional services, with a proven ability to analyse market trends and align strategies accordingly.
- Strong communicator and team player, adept at working within cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Digitally proficient in CRM platforms such as Salesforce, passionate about being at the forefront of change. You’re ready to help our NSW team deliver results,
drawing on tools and technology to support you.
- You know how to build and maintain robust relationships with senior leaders, internal stakeholders and industry partners.
