DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform fitment of components to bulk fluid tankers and tanker sub-frames
- Possess the ability to fabricate/assemble intricate components
- Demonstrate competency in the use of workshop plant
- Demonstrate competency in the use of hand tools
- Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
- Work within the perimeters of Workplace Health and Safety legislation
- Wear appropriate PPE when required

WORKING CONDITIONS

Most work is carried out in a up-to-date, neat workshop
- Some work is carried out in confined spaces
- Some work is conducted outside
- Some work involves working at heights
- Sometimes work is conducted in extreme heat

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Be physically fit
- Ability to work on and under bulk fluid tankers and sub-frames
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to climb ladders and work on top of bulk fluid tankers
- Ability to use hand tools for long periods of time- e.g. Swing a hammer
- Ability to use percussion tools
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Lift objects using correct manual handling techniques on a regular basis
