PLASTERBOARD CEILING PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer to join our team. We are a registered commercial and residential contractor in Western Australia, operating from our main business location in Malaga, WA 6090.

This is a full-time position, with a standard work week of 38 hours.

About the Role

The role involves the repair, maintenance, and installation of plasterboard walls and ceilings in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings across the Perth Metropolitan Area. We are looking for a dedicated professional to perform high-quality work and contribute to our fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities

· Install plasterboard sheets on walls and ceilings according to specifications and Australian building standards.

· Measure, cut, and shape plasterboard to fit specific spaces, including around openings such as windows, doors, and service fittings.

· Secure plasterboard sheets and timber/metal frames using adhesives, screws, nails, and other appropriate fastening systems.

· Install decorative plaster products, such as cornices, ceiling roses, bulkheads, and other ornamental mouldings.

· Apply jointing compounds, tape, and finishing systems to plasterboard joints to achieve smooth and even surfaces (Level 4/5 finish) in preparation for painting or finishing.

· Repair cracks, holes,



and damaged sections of plasterboard surfaces as required.

· Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

· Read, interpret, and work from architectural plans, structural drawings, and specifications.

· Ensure strict compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) standards at all times.

· Liaise with site supervisors, builders, and other trades to coordinate workflow on construction sites.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly dispose of construction debris.

Skills & Requirements

· At least two years of full time relevant work experience in the wall and ceiling lining trade.

· Comprehensive knowledge of drywall materials, suspended ceilings, tools, and repair techniques.

· Ability to work accurately, independently, and deliver high-quality premium finishes.

· Prefer to hold an AQF Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining (or equivalent industry qualification).

Salary

The annual base salary for this position is AUD $81,000 plus Superannuation.
