About the role:
The Principal Project Officer role will work within the Queensland Patient Access Coordination Hub (QPACH). QPACH plays a vital role within the Department's strategy to enhance timely patient access to care across Queensland. QPACH is responsible for supporting a coordinated, system-level approach to managing patient access and flow, effectively responding to near real-time fluctuations in demand and capacity statewide.
As a Principal Project Officer, you will manage the core operations of QPACH and implement various business strategies to help strengthen and maximise its value proposition.
Your key responsibilities include:
Within a multidisciplinary team environment, oversee and manage daily operations of QPACH and execute business strategies as directed with the aim of ensuring efficiency of its core functions, enhance operational effectiveness and meet organisational goals.
Collaboratively lead daily huddles attended by Hospital and Health Services, Queensland Ambulance Service, Retrieval Services Queensland, and the Department's divisions.
Identify opportunities for process optimisation and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Plan, initiate, and manage projects that support business objectives, overseeing timelines and ensuring deliverables are met.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and to foster partnerships.
Ensure all operations comply with legal regulations and internal policies and manage risks effectively.
Role fit:
You will play a key leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of QPACH, ensuring the efficient delivery of core functions and the successful execution of business strategies that support organisational objectives. Working within a multidisciplinary environment,
you will collaborate with representatives from Hospital and Health Services, Queensland Ambulance Service, Retrieval Services Queensland and departmental divisions to lead daily operational huddles, coordinate activities and support informed decision-making. You will identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness, while planning and managing projects to ensure key priorities, timelines and deliverables are achieved. With strong stakeholder engagement skills, you will build productive relationships across internal and external networks, fostering collaboration and alignment with business goals. You will also maintain a strong focus on governance, ensuring operations comply with legislative and policy requirements while proactively identifying and managing risks.
