Roundwood Civil & Labour is currently seeking experienced Steelfixers for ongoing work across commercial and civil construction projects throughout Melbourne.

We are looking for highly experienced Steelfixers who take pride in their work, have a strong understanding of reinforcing steel installation, and can work efficiently from engineering drawings.

About the Role

You will be working on a range of commercial and civil construction projects, completing reinforcing steel installation for footings, pile caps, slabs, suspended slabs, columns, walls, and other structural elements.

Typical duties include:

- Reading and interpreting engineering and reinforcement drawings.
- Installing reinforcement steel to specification.
- Tying reinforcement for strip footings, pile caps, ground beams, slabs, columns and suspended structures.
- Constructing reinforcement cages and securing starter bars.
- Installing ligatures, chairs, spacers and reinforcing mesh.
- Completing work to engineering specifications and Australian Standards.




- Working safely alongside formworkers, concreters, crane crews and site supervisors.

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Steelfixer.
- Ability to read and interpret reinforcement drawings.
- Experience working on commercial and civil construction projects.
- White Card.
- Own tools.
- Robust understanding of reinforcement placement and tying techniques.
- Excellent work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Reliable transport.
