Run the trade counter and keep despatch firing at Mitre 10 Renmark

This role runs the trade counter day-to-day at Mitre 10 Renmark and makes sure the despatch side of the branch is covered.

You'll look after our builder and contractor customers, keep jobs, quotes and orders moving through Frameworks and Pipedrive, and work alongside the despatch crew to get gear out the door on time.

This is a hands-on operational role — you're on the counter, on the floor, and on the radio with despatch every day. Not a desk role.

What You Own

Trade Counter

- Serve builder and contractor customers at the trade counter day-to-day

- Build quotes, process orders, and follow them through in Frameworks and Pipedrive

- Look after key trade accounts and keep relationships strong

- Keep trade counter, sales floor, and pricing presentation tidy and consistent

Despatch Coverage

- Make sure despatch is covered every day — drivers briefed, deliveries on time, paperwork tight

- Coordinate with the despatch crew on schedules, cutoffs, and aged orders

- Run pre-call and POD checks per WCG procedure

- Jump in and help despatch when it's busy or short

Stock, Ordering & Pricing

- Keep core trade range in stock through regular ordering and follow-up

- Action range reviews, clearance, and special-order requests for trade customers

- Maintain trade pricing — price bands, special prices, contract pricing

Team Support

- Work side-by-side with the trade and despatch crew — set the rhythm, don't sit above it

- Help train and bring new trade and despatch starters up to speed





- Bring trade and despatch input to weekly branch reviews

This Role Is For You If:

- You've worked the counter or yard in trade / hardware before

- You're comfortable setting the pace for a small crew without needing to "manage" them

- You know how to look after trade customers — builders, contractors, key accounts

- You understand a despatch operation — driver runs, POD, aged orders, customer-not-home

- You're organised and can juggle multiple jobs and quotes without dropping detail

- You're confident with POS / inventory systems (Frameworks, Pipedrive — Buildxact a plus)

- You hold a current driver's licence (forklift licence a plus)

Employment Details

- Full time position based at Mitre 10 Renmark

- Standard branch hours, Monday to Friday with some Saturday morning availability expected

- Some flexibility around peak trade and seasonal demand

- Completion of required training (WCG induction, TTHG e-learning where applicable)

- Employment may be subject to a pre-employment medical
