Independence Australia Group is a social enterprise that provides choice for people with a disability or other personal need, enabling them to regain and retain their independence within an inclusive community.
About the role
You will work directly with customers, carers, Occupational Therapists and funding bodies to identify the right equipment and solutions for individual needs.
You'll provide product demonstrations and trials, support customers through funding pathways, and ensure a seamless experience from enquiry through to delivery.
This is a permanent, full‑time position based at our Mobility Aids Australia retail store in Springvale.
What you will bring
- Experience working within the disability, aged care, rehabilitation, healthcare, allied health, community services or customer service sectors, with a strong understanding of customer needs and service delivery.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers, carers, Occupational Therapists, prescribers, funding bodies and internal stakeholders.
- A genuine passion for supporting people to live more independently through the provision of tailored assistive technology and mobility solutions.
- Strong organisation and administrative skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and manage quotes,
orders and documentation with a high level of attention to detail.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to problem-solve and deliver positive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of assistive technology, mobility equipment, NDIS, TAC, WorkSafe, SWEP or Home Care Package funding programs will be highly regarded.
