Civmec’s Gladstone Maintenance division delivers specialised maintenance and shutdown services to refinery and heavy industrial clients in Queensland, partnering with operational teams to keep critical assets running safely and efficiently.

As a Boilermaker, you will perform welding and fabrication work across maintenance shutdowns and project works, ensuring quality and compliance with Australian Welding Standards

The Role

- Perform maintenance shutdowns and project works
- Apply welding techniques including FCAW and MMAW
- Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings
- Mark out steel components per fabrication drawings and specs
- Comply with company Quality Control systems and processes
- Maintain a solid understanding of Australian Welding Standards
- Ensure work meets specifications and standards
- Conduct welding across day and night shifts as required
- Support shutdown teams throughout project duration
- Maintain safe work practices across refinery operations
- Identify and address fabrication or welding defects
- Provide quality workmanship on refinery assets

About You





To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Blue Medipass (desirable)
- Construction White Card
- Work Safely at Heights (desirable)
- Enter and Work in Confined Space (desirable)
- Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)
- Minimum 5 years shutdown / site experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
- Additional Tickets will be highly regarded
