About the Role

S4S Academy is urgently seeking passionate and experienced football coaches to join the Chelsea Academy for the 2027 season.

The Chelsea Academy is delivered by S4S Academy in partnership with Chelsea Soccer Club and provides talented junior players with a structured, qualified and development-focused football program.

Coaching opportunities are available across junior boys’ and girls’ Academy teams from U7 to U13.

Successful applicants will coach an Academy team throughout the season, including weekday evening training sessions, weekend matches and selected tournaments.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver high-quality weekly training sessions
- Coach the team during weekend Football Victoria matches
- Attend selected tournaments, Academy events and assessment sessions
- Support the technical, tactical and personal development of each player
- Provide players with clear and constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively with Chelsea Academy technical and operational staff
- Maintain professional communication with players, parents and team officials
- Promote a positive, respectful and player-centred team environment
- Follow the Chelsea Academy coaching methodology and development framework

What We Are Looking For

Successful applicants will ideally have:

- Previous experience coaching junior or youth football




- A valid Employee Working with Children Check
- Strong knowledge of junior player development
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
- Reliable availability for weekday evening training and weekend matches
- Availability for selected tournaments and Academy events
- A professional, positive and enthusiastic coaching approach

Developing coaches who are currently completing their qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
