We are seeking a qualified and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys solving technical problems and values delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

- Diagnosing mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical expertise.
- Performing servicing, maintenance and repairs on petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Inspecting engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking and cooling systems to identify faults and determine repair requirements.
- Removing, dismantling, repairing and replacing worn or defective mechanical components.
- Carrying out engine tuning, timing adjustments and performance-related repairs to ensure optimum vehicle operation.
- Inspecting and repairing driveline components, clutches, gearboxes, differentials and exhaust systems.
- Completing scheduled logbook servicing, preventative maintenance and vehicle safety inspections.
- Testing vehicles before and after repairs to verify that faults have been rectified and the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.




- Maintaining accurate service records and clearly communicating repair recommendations to customers and the service team.
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently while complying with workplace health and safety requirements and industry standards.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and secure workshop workplace, including the proper care of tools and equipment.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

- AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) with at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV. Alternatively, a minimum of three years of relevant industry experience.
- At least two years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic is preferred.
- Current Australian driver's licence (preferred).

- Sound knowledge of automotive mechanical systems and manufacturer repair procedures.
- Experience using modern diagnostic scan tools and workshop equipment.

- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A strong commitment to quality workmanship, workplace safety and customer satisfaction.

- Position: Permanent Full-Time
- Salary: AU$80,000 per annum plus employer superannuation contributions at the statutory rate.
