We are looking for a warm, reliable Support Worker to join our team on a casual or contractor basis.
About the Role
We're seeking someone with a genuinely kind nature and a caring approach to support people with disability and older adults with their day-to-day needs. This is a flexible role suited to someone who takes pride in providing compassionate, respectful care to individuals of all ages and abilities.
Location: Blacktown City Council area and surrounding suburbs
What You'll Be Doing (which will vary depending on client and their day to day needs)
- Personal care support e.g. showering, dressing, mobility assistance
- Domestic assistance, e.g. light housekeeping, meal prep
- Community access, e.g. transport to appointments, outings
- Companionship and social support
- Medication reminders / prompts
- Support tailored to individual needs, whether age-related or disability-related
What We're Looking For
- A kind, patient, and genuinely caring nature
- Experience with mental health clients, children or experience with autism is highly regarded
- Experience in support work, disability care, or aged care preferred but not essential — we welcome applicants willing to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Good communication skills
- A current driver's licence and own vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid/CPR
