On Luck Chinese Nursing Home, operated by Chinese Community Social Services Cen-
tre Limited (CCSSC), provides 120 residential places, including 30 dementia-specific
places. We are proud to be the largest Chinese-specific residential aged care facility in
Victoria.
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Part Time Cook to join our kitchen team. Are
you someone who finds fulfillment in preparing nutritious, delicious meals that bring
comfort and joy to others? Do you enjoy supporting the health and wellbeing of elderly
residents through high-quality food service? If so, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
In this rewarding role, you will:
- Prepare and serve meals in accordance with residents’ dietary needs and prefer-
ences
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly maintained
- Portion and present meals appropriately
- Assist with menu planning and kitchen inventory monitoring
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas and equipment
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and care teams
- Provide excellent customer service to residents
Essential Requirements
- Experience in food preparation (aged care experience desirable)
- Understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a team workplace
- Strong attention to hygiene and quality
- Ability to speak Chinese (required)
