You’ll play a key role delivering building services projects across commercial, retail, civic and education sectors, while continuing to grow your technical capability and career.
This role suits an engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work, wants ownership of projects, and values being part of a strong, quality-focused engineering team.
What you’ll do
- Deliver mechanical engineering design and documentation across building services projects
- Lead small to medium projects and contribute as a key project engineer
- Work closely with clients and project teams to coordinate design outcomes
- Produce high-quality technical reports and written outputs
- Support and mentor graduate engineers
- Contribute to a collaborative, technically strong team environment
Must haves
- 4–7 years’ experience in mechanical engineering within building services (Australia or New Zealand)
- Strong communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement
- Washington Accord-recognised degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
- Solid understanding of the Australian building services environment (including NCC)
- A strong interest in technical excellence and ongoing development
Nice to haves
- Experience across commercial, retail, civic, education or similar sectors
- Experience leading small to medium projects
- Familiarity with heat load modelling software (e.g. Camel, IES or similar)
- Progression towards RPEQ or CPENG accreditation
