Estimator | Remedial Main Contractor
We are representing a highly respected, Remedial Main Contractor known for their industry-leading standards and people-first approach.
Office based in North Sydney, with a diverse portfolio of projects across the Sydney Metro area, this company has built a reputation for excellence in complex structural and facade remediation. They are looking for a sharp, driven Estimator to join their close-knit pre-construction team.
The Opportunity
This is more than just a desk job. You will enjoy a hybrid workflow, splitting your time between their modern Sydney office and conducting site inspections to ensure your tenders reflect real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and competitive tender submissions.
- Technical Analysis: Review drawings and specifications for concrete cancer, structural repairs, waterproofing, and facade upgrades.
- Site Intelligence: Attend site walk-throughs to identify risks, build methodologies, and find cost-saving opportunities.
- Subcontractor Engagement: Leverage and grow a network of trusted trades to secure competitive pricing.
- Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Project Managers and Site Teams to ensure a seamless transition from "won" to "work-in-progress."
Skills & Experience
- Industry Expertise: Minimum 3+ years of estimating experience specifically within the remedial construction sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of concrete repair systems, waterproofing, and structural remediation.
- Software Proficiency: Experience using CostX, Cubit, or similar estimating platforms.
- Local Network: An established understanding of the Sydney subcontractor market.
- Communication: High-level stakeholder management skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential.
