About the Opportunity

An established and growing supplier within the timber, building and construction sector is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager / Sales Representative to join its team.

Reporting directly to the Director, you will manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers while actively developing new business opportunities across the Sydney market.

This is a highly autonomous, field-based position suited to a confident sales professional who enjoys being on the road, building long-term relationships and converting opportunities into results.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and develop relationships with existing trade and commercial customers
- Identify, target and secure new business opportunities
- Grow sales across the timber, building supplies and construction markets
- Conduct regular customer meetings, site visits and account reviews
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and follow up on opportunities
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate customer records
- Provide responsive and professional customer service
- Work closely with operations, warehouse and customer service teams
- Monitor market activity, competitor movements and customer requirements




- Achieve and exceed agreed sales and revenue targets

About You

To be considered, you will have:

- Proven sales or business development experience within timber, building supplies, construction products, hardware or a closely related trade industry
- An established understanding of trade customers and the construction market
- Strong relationship-building and account-management skills
- A proactive, commercially focused and results-driven approach
- Confidence developing new business and conducting face-to-face sales meetings
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- The ability to work independently and manage a busy territory
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- A current Australian driver’s licence

Existing industry relationships or a customer network will be highly regarded.

Work Arrangements

This is primarily an on-the-road sales position covering customers across Sydney.

You will have flexibility to work from home when completing administration and planning, with attendance at the Wetherill Park office generally required one to two days per week.
