We are seeking a compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide assistance and care to individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will support clients in their daily activities, promote independence, and enhance their quality of life. Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to helping others and the ability to work collaboratively with a team, making a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.

We cover Western Sydney Penrith to Blacktown, and Surrounding Suburbs, East Sydney Bankstown and surrounds, Windsor and the Hills regions.

The Role

In line with The NDIS Choice and Control, our participants look for consistency and relationships, so building rapport is essential to the role.

- Shift Structure: Initial shifts typically 2–4 hours. This allows you to build a genuine relationship and reputation with participants.
- Multiple participants in the area that would benefit from your support.
- Growth: As you establish trust, there is significant opportunity to fill your schedule with multiple shifts throughout the day with shifts varying in times between 6am to 10pm. We do also on occasion have overnight shifts.
- Setting: Support ranges from 2:1 behavioral shift to 1:1 personal care in private homes, community access, day programs, transport services, or SIL environments.



The participants we have are generally daily living supports or community access
- Rate: $34.44 as a beginner - $46.70 cert 4 or higher

Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Support clients in developing and maintaining independence in their daily routines.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support.
- Personal care and physically fit to perform manual handling where required.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a support worker role or similar position is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing situations.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
