The position as Cyber Governance Risk and Compliance Subject Matter Expert (JORN Cyber Engineer ICT) is to be initially based within Lockheed Martin Australia’s Engineering Services Contract (ESC) team, supporting the Jindalee Over the Horizon RADAR Network (JORN). This placement will be working within the ICT IPT and be situated within the CoA staff. This placement will be in line with the contract length and is a long-term role.
The JORN Cyber Engineer ICT is accountable to the JORN ICT Lead and responsible for security governance, and for leading the design assurance, including Test an Evaluation of JORN ICT systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
The Cyber Engineer’s primarily responsibilities include:
- Design, review, implementation and operation of ICT security infrastructure in accordance with PSPF/DSPF/ISM and Industry Best Practices.
- Work with technical stakeholders to determine needs, motivations and objectives, with the aim to collaboratively agree mutually acceptable technical outcomes.
- Coordinate across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with engineering leads and SMEs (Commonwealth and contractor organisations), to create a shared technical vision and to positively influence JORN ICT technical solutions.
- Participate in technical performance and technical risk identification and mitigation by providing expert advice that informs design reviews and technical program planning for ICT products.
- Provide input into the integrated schedule of Commonwealth JORN ICT activities
- Management of ICT related Engineering Change Proposals
- Input into the delivery and maintenance of CoA Acceptance, Verification and Validation Plans and Procedures for assigned products
- Input into the delivery and maintenance of CoA Acceptance, Verification and Validation Plans and Procedures for assigned products
- Identify and evaluate risks and threats that could impact the JORN program
- Deliver recommendations to mitigate identified system security threats & risks
- Deliver Cyber Security SME recommendations during customer meetings as required
- Coordination of the Commonwealth JORN ICT Engineering program, including as necessary development, review, negotiation and agreement of JORN technical specifications in context with the ICT security aspects.
- Work with the Commonwealth ICT Engineering processes, procedures and tools and their compliance.
- Review and approval of Contractor ICT Engineering processes, procedures and tools.
- Design Review of ICT Related changes from a Cyber Security perspective
About you:
- Expert knowledge of Defence’s A&A; process.
- Experience in defence ICT systems including design, evaluation and implementation to meet the Australian Government’s Information Security Manual
- Significant experience in systems security engineering. E.g. interpreting security requirements, analysing and recommending security measures and policies
- Demonstrated experience in ICT architecture design and delivery of systems to meet requirements and needs of end users.
- Excellent skills in writing accurate documentation to present security related information, in a clear and precise manner.
- Ability to present A&A; information to both technical and non-technical audience
Desirable
- Previous role in approving changes as the Design Authority.
- Demonstrate ability to lead, train and mentor technical staff.
- Demonstrate professional integrity,
objectivity, acceptance of responsibility and maturity of judgement.
- Demonstrate the ability to contribute and work in a cross-functional team.
Special Requirements:
