J Giuffre & Co Pty Ltd is a public practice accounting firm located in the heart of Geelong, with over 40 years of industry knowledge behind it.

We are currently seeking a taxation accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience in public practice to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a polite and friendly personality with a desire to provide the best service for each client.

About the role:

- Preparation of tax returns for: Individuals, Trusts, Company's and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.
- Prepare Financial Statements for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds and all business entities.
- Completing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS),
- Liaise with the ATO and clients, as required.
- Ad hoc tasks as your role evolves with time.

About you:

- Hold a relevant accounting qualification.
- CA/CPA qualified. (or commenced)
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a tax accountant.
- A substantial understanding of Australian taxation laws.
- Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.




- A well-presented professional with strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge and experience with Xero/MYOB/QuickBooks/Reckon (desirable)
- Previous experience with Sage/Access (HandiTax etc) accounting software (desirable)

Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm
