Noodle Box Lyndhurst is seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our busy morning team. As a fast‑paced Asian takeaway restaurant, we pride ourselves on fresh flavours, efficient service, and a welcoming environment for both customers and staff. About the Role
This position plays a vital role in the daily operations of our store. You will support chefs, assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure customer orders are packed accurately and efficiently. Morning hours are often the busiest, so we need someone who can stay organised, work quickly, and communicate well with the team. If you enjoy hands‑on work and take pride in doing things properly, this role will suit you perfectly.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking & Packing Orders: Carefully pack takeaway orders, ensuring accuracy, neat presentation, and readiness for customer pickup or delivery partners. Attention to detail is essential.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders confidently, and assist with enquiries. Help maintain a friendly and professional front‑of‑house environment.
- Food Preparation Support: Assist chefs with basic prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, organising cooking stations, and replenishing items throughout the shift.
- Stock & Ordering Assistance: Help check stock levels, organise deliveries, rotate ingredients, and support basic ordering tasks to ensure the kitchen is always well‑prepared and efficient.
- Cleaning & Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic workspace at all times. This includes washing dishes, cleaning benches,
wiping equipment, sweeping floors, and following food‑safety standards.
- General Kitchen Duties: Support the team wherever needed—whether it’s prepping ingredients, organising containers, assisting with morning setup, or helping with closing tasks.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in picking and packing, customer service, cleaning, or general kitchen duties.
- Strong interest in working in a kitchen environment and learning recent skills.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy morning hours.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Positive attitude, good communication skills, and willingness to help the team.
- Someone who enjoys fast‑paced work and takes pride in doing tasks properly.
