Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information
Warilla High School has an enrolment of 1050 students including 135 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and including 12% from non - English speaking backgrounds. The school provides a quality, comprehensive education to a diverse student enrolment, supported by an experienced staff. The school has an outstanding program to support students with additional learning and support needs and is known for its innovative student welfare programs. The school has a proud tradition of fostering academic, cultural, sporting, creative and vocational success. The schools' Special Education Unit consists of 7 classes which caters for the needs of students who require additional support.
Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience in teaching students with Autism, Behaviour Difficulties, Moderate Intellectual Disability and complex needs including mental health.
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with proven capacity to establish and maintain effective partnerships with students, staff at a faculty and whole school level, SLSO’s and interagency to support students with a range of complex needs.
Demonstrated ability to develop school and community partnerships to ensure flexible, innovative and student-centred programs, that are designed to meet the academic and welfare needs of individual students preparing them for post school life.
Experience in developing differentiated programs and authentic assessment practices, which directly align with student individual goals that result in students effectively engaging in their education and demonstrating safe behaviour.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching chance.
