About The Role

Cater Care is seeking a full-time Chef to join our Ballina aged care site.

In this role, you will prepare high-quality, nutritious meals in a up-to-date, well-equipped kitchen while supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents. More than just a cooking role, this position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive team environment that values teamwork, creativity, and genuine care.

Roster: Wednesday to Sunday, 9:30am - 5:30pm (38 hrs/week)

What You’ll Be Doing

- Create and present fresh, delicious meals for residents and staff
- Support daily kitchen operations and bulk meal preparation
- Deliver friendly, efficient service with a smile
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen
- Follow food and general safety practices
- Prepare and present texture-modified foods with care and precision

Skills and Experiences:
About You

- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a similar role (aged care experience preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and passion for great food
