Location: Esperance WA | Regional Allowances & Relocation Support Available

Salary: Total Package up to $183,290 (including regional allowances & 13.5% Superannuation)

Join Horizon Power as an SPS Technical Support Officer and play a key role in overseeing the construction, quality assurance and handover of Standalone Power Systems (SPS) across regional Western Australia. Working closely with contractors in the field, you'll help ensure systems are built safely, meet design requirements and are ready for successful transition into operations.

Your role in action:
- Oversee contractors delivering Standalone Power System (SPS) projects and ensure works are completed safely and to Horizon Power standards.
- Conduct site inspections, quality assurance checks and review completed installations prior to handover to Operations.
- Review electrical drawings and technical documentation to verify SPS assets are constructed in accordance with approved designs.
- Act as the local site based liaison between contractors, project teams and Horizon Power Operations throughout construction, commissioning and handover activities.
- Support the ongoing operation of SPS assets through planned maintenance, fault response and investigation of operational issues when required.
What you’ll bring:
- Current WA Electrical Worker's Licence.
- Experience working within the electricity, utilities, renewable energy or electrical services industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installations, solar systems and battery technologies, with SPS experience highly regarded.
- Sound understanding of safety, environmental and electricity industry regulations, with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and build effective working relationships with contractors, suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
