We are a busy, fast-paced Dental Practice located in Queanbeyan, GP Super Clinic. This position requires a reliable, hard-working, and enthusiastic person that can provide professional assistance to patients.

Dental Assistant

This is a Part-Time/Causal position and occasional Saturdays, with a future Full-time position. Immediate start, No experience required, Training on site.

Dental Assisting Cert III and IV, experience in Dental Assisting of 1yr to 2yrs, and knowledge in Exact Software would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

- Preparing the operatory/surgery for patient treatment
- Chair side assistance during procedures (which involves mixing of materials, instrument passing, record charting of the patients dentition and the use of retraction and patient mouth suction), exposing and processing dental radio graphs
- Maintaining the operatory/surgery in accordance with the practice infection control manual
- Maintaining and sterilizing instruments in accordance to practice infection control manual
- Have the initiative to assist the dental operator (dentist or other treating oral health practitioner) by knowing the step-by-step procedure of the dental treatment




- Excellent communication skills and patient care
- Co-ordinate & organize appointments & administration to facilitate the efficient running of the clinic
- Familiar with HICAPS and other private insurance
- Able to co-ordinate scheduled appointments, handle billing responsibilities and book keeping
- Knowledge both in Microsoft Word and Excel
