Deliver Landmark Commercial Projects with a Respected Tier 2 Builder
I'm currently partnering with a well-established commercial builder with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality projects across New South Wales. Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline, they are looking to appoint both a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager to join their Sydney team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with an experienced leadership team on a diverse portfolio of projects while enjoying genuine career progression and long-term stability.
The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, leading teams to successfully deliver complex commercial developments. Projects typically range from $2M–$20M+ and include:
Working closely with clients, consultants and site teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from commencement through to handover.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
- Oversee project programming, budgets, forecasting and financial performance.
- Lead procurement, subcontractor management and contract administration.
- Drive programme outcomes to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify and manage project risks while ensuring compliance with WHS and quality management systems.
- Mentor and lead project teams to achieve exceptional project outcomes.
- Ensure all contractual obligations and client expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects within the Australian market including D&C; and Fit-out
- Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager (Senior Project Manager candidates will demonstrate experience delivering larger, more complex projects).
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, forecasting and project profitability.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with D&C; delivery and head contract administration.
- Experience using Procore, HammerTech, MS Project and Excel will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to GC21 contracts is advantageous.
