Trusted Mechanical Solutions is a growing family operated mobile mechanical services business based in Darling Downs, Western Australia.
We carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on diesel powered vehicles, heavy machinery, transport equipment and material handling equipment. We pride ourselves on providing reliable and professional service to our customers.
About the role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
This is a full-time mobile position involving travel to customer premises and worksites throughout the Perth, WA area. The successful applicant will work independently to diagnose faults, complete scheduled servicing and carry out mechanical repairs and breakdown support.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and complete servicing, maintenance and repairs on diesel powered vehicles, machinery and equipment
- Work on trucks, forklifts, terminal tractors, loaders, excavators, mobile port cranes, generators and other client equipment
- Service and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems and associated mechanical components
- Complete preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs
- Test vehicles and equipment after repairs to ensure they are operating safely and correctly
- Maintain accurate service records, job documentation and vehicle stock
- Order required parts and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements, safe work procedures and client site rules
- Represent the company professionally and provide a high standard of customer service
Skills and experience
Applicants must have:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Automotive Diesel Engine Technology, or an equivalent relevant qualification
- At least two years of relevant experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Experience servicing and repairing diesel engines, heavy vehicles and mobile equipment
- Robust diagnostic, fault finding and problem solving skills
- Experience working with hydraulic systems
- Ability to work independently and manage mobile service work efficiently
- Current Australian driver licence
- Good communication and record keeping skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
A Heavy Rigid licence and a current Maritime Security Identification Card, or the ability to obtain one, would be advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour
