As a key member of a professional and highly motivated workshop team, you will be responsible for identifying mechanical problems, recommending cutting-edge solutions, and conducting high-quality maintenance and repairs. Operating within a fully equipped, modern workshop environment, the position covers all aspects of mechanical work centred around advanced agricultural machinery, heavy-duty pumps, and specialised hydraulic TL irrigation pivot and linear systems.
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager and Director, you will execute manufacturing, welding, and repair tasks on time by using appropriate workshop resources effectively. This dynamic role requires a balance of independent field operations, including attending field sites for breakdowns, equipment servicing,
and maintenance of long-term leased machinery, and cooperative workshop duties.
Additionally, you will assist in leveraging job-specific software and IT infrastructure to maintain meticulous service records, document damage assessments, and uphold premium standards of workmanship.

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an efficient, self-motivated, and customer-focused individual who possesses a strong work ethic and takes authentic pride in delivering mechanical precision. In addition, you will ideally possess the following:
- A current Mechanical Trade Certificate is highly preferable (though exceptional practical experience will be strongly valued).
- Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing large-scale farming machinery, irrigation setups, and advanced hydraulic systems.
- Exceptional communication skills with the natural ability to engage politely and effectively with local farmers regarding their equipment needs.
- A proactive team player who can work unsupervised and adapt rapidly to technical engineering requirements.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort using IT systems for logging service records and reports.
- A current manual driver's license is essential; a forklift license or truck license is considered a significant career advantage.
- Unwavering commitment to Work Health & Safety policies and maintaining a clean, risk-free workshop environment.
